Salinas DUI Suspect Also Allegedly Illegally Shot Deer

A Monterey County man suspected of driving under the influence also was driving with a dead deer in the trunk of his car, an animal he’s accused of shooting illegally. Here’s more from KSBW TV :

As officers prepared to tow the vehicle, a dead deer was found in the trunk.

The deer had been shot and did not have a hunting tag.

Police said on social media that Fish and Game responded to the scene, took custody of a deer younger than 2 years old, and will investigate the illegal hunting or possession of the animal.
