Northern California Trout Rivers Showcased In Five Rivers Challenge This Fall

A new wild trout tournament will showcase five epic Northern California rivers. The Five Rivers Challenge is set for Sept. 21-25 and will take place on the Sacramento, McCloud, Pit, Hat and Fall Rivers. Proceeds from the event will benefit California Trout. Grab your spot today for CalTrout’s Five Rivers Challenge! This epic fishing contest will take place September 21-25 at the McCloud Hotel in McCloud, California. Come test your angling skills on the renowned wild trout waters of Northern California – Hat Creek, Fall River, Pit River, McCloud River, and Upper Sacramento River. The contest will consist of 8 two-person teams fishing each wild trout designated section of river over three days. The Contest:
You and your teammate will fish each wild trout designated section of river over three days.  Go for most fish. The biggest fish. The grand total in inches of fish from all rivers. Or, the total from a single river. Whatever your strategy, it’s a unique challenge and there are great prizes to be awarded in each category.

The grand prize winner will be…
The team that catches the greatest total inches of trout from all five rivers. Their names will be engraved on the beautiful Five Rivers Trophy, permanently displayed at CalTrout’s SF headquarters. All teams will receive great gear and other prizes.
