Silverado, CA: For anglers looking for a little summer evening diversion that’s close to home, FISH by Pathways at Oak Canyon, Southern California’s new fishing hot spot in Orange County, is starting up their exclusive night-time fishing program on Wednesday and Thursday, June 29 and 30 from 4pm to 9pm. And making it even more attractive, popular SoCal fishing and outdoor radio personality, Phil Friedman, is sponsoring the two-day event which includes a special “Two for One” admission promotion.
The price of a single $59.00 adult admission also admits one son, daughter or friend age 15 and under to fish at no additional cost, a savings of $35.00 off the normal rate. The bite at Oak Canyon has been red-hot of late, thanks to a generous stocking program in May and June with plenty of five to ten pounders. There is also an abundance of tagged fish in the lake, when caught earning lucky fishermen valuable awards and prizes ranging from new kayaks to outdoor gear, to boogie boards and camping equipment. And if you don’t have your own fishing tackle, that’s okay, there are ample Daiwa rods and reels on hand included as part of the admission price.
In addition to the two evening FISH sessions on the 29th and 30th, there is also a morning open FISH session from 8am to 2:30pm on Wednesday, followed by a FISH 101 Instructional session Thursday for beginning and novice anglers from9am to 3pm. Spanish speaking instructors are on-site for the FISH 101 session. Morning session anglers will also enjoy a breakfast and a tasty BBQ lunch served compliments of FISH by Pathways and Phil Friedman Outdoors.
FISH by Pathways is a fully furnished, premium, no-license required fishing experience at Oak Canyon lake. At the core of the new FISH by Pathways experience is the philosophy of ‘catch and release’ where sustainability and ‘leave one for the next guy’ is strongly encouraged.
