Join us in celebrating Migratory Bird Day by experiencing your National Wildlife Refuge!

Modoc National Wildlife Refuge is hosting a fall world migratory bird day event on October 10, 2026. This event will take place from 10am to 3pm at Modoc NWR, along the auto-tour route. There will be three stations along the route. Each will have fascinating information to learn and a fun activity to do. If the weather is bad, the stations will all be located near the visitors center. Please come join us for a fun day of environmental excitement. The topics include migratory birds, insects, & you, wetland management & citizen science, and hunting, banding, & conservation. The activities include our BirdSleuth Explorer’s Guidebook, migratory bird trivia, and bird mask making. You can even get added to our Bird Buddy Hall of Fame!
When: October 10, 2026 from 10 AM- 3 PM
