Missing Teenage Brothers Whose Kayak Capsized On NorCal Duck Hunting Trip
ABC 10 in Sacramento reports that Northern California brothers are missing while duck hunting (Here’s also some video on the accident):
Brothers Andruw Cornett, 19, and Wesley Cornett, 17, were hunting when the younger of the pair went out on the water to retrieve a duck, their mother April Clark told KRCR. His kayak then capsized, and his brother called 911 but reportedly told dispatchers there was no time to wait. The older brother went into the water to try and save his younger sibling, Clark said.
“Andruw is a hero in my eyes, just trying to save his brother,” she said. “I just really want to find them and bring them home. I can’t give up hope. They are my world.”
The brothers went missing in the Thermalito Afterbay area, and Clark said their dog and belongings were recovered during an initial search.
