Huntington Beach Pier Reopens For Fishing

I can remember a couple times trying my luck fishing heavy weights and cut bait off the Pacifica Pier, near my home in the Bay Area. I also remember how crowded with anglers the pier would get on a warm summer day. Still, it’s a good sign that Southern California’s popular fishing spot, the Huntington Beach Pier (below) is reopening for fishing.

Businesses along the pier have also opened and fishing is being allowed, city spokesman Eric McCoy said.

“We’re asking people to keep moving and to be mindful of social distancing,” McCoy said.
