Hunter Killed At Fremont Weir Wildlife Area; Alleged Shooter Booked For Second-Degree Murder
Tragedy in the Sacramento area, where a hunter was killed in the Fremont Weir Wildlife Area sheriffs are investigating for a possible homicide. Here’s some video via KCRA TV in Sacramento:

At the scene, deputies found a 65-year-old man with a single gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s name was expected to be released by the Sutter County Coroner’s Office after family notification.
Investigators identified the suspect as John Lee, who was also turkey hunting in the area. Lee was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Sutter County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder and negligent discharge of a firearm, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He remains in custody on $1 million bail.
