Golden State Salmon Association executive director Vance Staplin, who was just announced to his post last fall, has stepped down due for health reasons, leaving an opening to fill the position.

The Golden State Salmon Association is seeking a new Executive Director.

Our current Executive Director, Vance Staplin, has stepped down to focus on his health. We are grateful for Vance’s leadership, dedication, and service to California salmon and the communities that depend on them.

As we begin the search for our next Executive Director, GSSA remains committed to restoring California salmon, protecting the rivers they depend on, and advocating for the fishing families, businesses, and communities that rely on healthy salmon runs.
