Feather River Salmon Update

Friend of the blog Manuel Saldana Jr. of MSJ Guide Service offered this update from Feather River king salmon fishing:

Today I had James Chabiel from West Marine out on the Feather river some king salmon. The action was fast and furious in the early morning the kings were on the bite.. We hooked seven salmon and landed three of them.
All fish landed on Cousins rod GSTB802S, GSH792-1T, FinsFishing 50-pound orange XS braided line, 30-pound YoZuri Fluorocarbon leaders, K16 BradsKillerlures.
Use extreme caution navigating the Feather river the flow is 936 cfs and extremely shallow.
