Ahead Of Critical Salmon Meeting, Sac River King Forecast Reportedly At Just Under 214,000

As a meeting later this week should shine some light on whether or not there’s a salmon fishing season this year, the forecast for Sacramento River fall-run kings is at least higher than last year. The Golden State Salmon Association posted a link to an Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife presentation that states the Sac River projections are for roughly 213,600 fish, which would be an increase over 2023’s 169,000 and change forecast.
