Surrounded by COYOTES while hiking alone
Probably not the scenario to be in for a hiker, but what if you’re on a hike.
And, you get this feeling that something is near you, not by another human but by a pack of howling coyotes.
When we hear coyotes howling its usually from a safe distance.
How would you handle a pack of coyotes howling closer to you?
Most of the time when I’m on a hike, I carry a pistol and depending on the state that allows me to carry my AR-7 or Keltech 2000.
In this video a hiker is unarmed on a hiking trail with coyotes nearby, how would you react?
Here’s the excerpt from Jessica Kirsh Youtube
“This is raw, uncut footage I captured with my GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition on my very first solo sunset hike as an Arizona resident. All of the sudden on my way back down a trail on Lookout Mountain ? in Phoenix, I found myself surrounded by howling coyotes in every direction! ?
Now at this point, I had only lived in the desert for a little over a year. So this was my first experience hearing coyotes howl this intensely, where I wasn’t in the “safety” of my fenced in backyard.
Watch me try to be as stealth as possible getting back to my car parked at the trail head! ?”
