Calstar Fishing Rods, L.A. October 11, 2025, on the historic and picturesque grounds of the Compton Hunting & Fishing Club.

The event is set to get underway at 10 am. The fun-filled Hawaiian-themed event will include a delicious Polynesian-style barbecue lunch. The South L.A. Chapter event will also include a silent auction, as well as a live auction, with lots of cool stuff to bid on. You will have a chance to pore over a plethora of raffle items and get your tickets for an exciting chance to win top-notch fishing gear, sportfishing charters and more.

“The CCA Cal South L.A. Chapter Annual Barbeque on October 11 promises lots of food, refreshments and fun for the whole family from 10 am to 3 pm,” says Robby Gant, South L.A. Chapter president. “But most importantly, your participation helps support CCA Cal’s important mission to protect the health, habitat and sustainability of California’s marine resources, as well as the interests of recreational saltwater anglers and access to the resources they cherish and use on a daily basis. Bring all of your friends and family, and I will look forward to seeing everyone there.”

The Compton Hunting and Fishing is located 1625 Sportsman Drive, Compton, California, and there’s plenty of parking. Individual reservations are $80, and that includes an annual membership to CCA Cal. Tables for 10 are $750, with annual CCA Cal memberships included for each guest at your table. ABOUT CCA CAL: The Coastal Conservation Association of California was created in 2015 when recreational anglers and outdoor enthusiasts came together to work for the conservation and enhancement of our marine resources and coastal environments. Today, we are working to protect not only the health, habitat, and sustainability of our marine resources, as well as the interests of saltwater anglers. CCA CAL’s goal is to protect your access to the marine resources you cherish and enjoy every day. CCA CAL consists of members spread across local chapters in California and growing every day.
