Shoot or Don’t Shoot: Buck with a Broken Leg

A hunter in British Columbia captured this video of a nice 11-point buck with a broken leg. It looks like it is in reasonable health otherwise, but that leg is pretty seriously injured.

If you were deer hunting, would you shoot this buck?

Personally, I’d shoot that deer without hesitation. He is a nice, mature buck and it would be a terrible shame for him to end up as coyote food.

Any ideas on how this buck broke his leg?
