San Diego-Area’s Lake Jennings To Have Limited Camping, Fishing Opportunities

We are moving in the right direction!

The campground will be reopening in a limited capacity on Monday, May 18th.
The limitations we have listed below allow us to be in compliance with current health orders from the County of San Diego. These will be in place until further notice. At this time, we cannot be compliant with the current health orders related to the operation of the recreation side of our property. There will be no access to the recreation side of the property at this time. 


Policies and Procedures in place at the campground beginning May 18th:Only people from the same household may occupy the same campsite with a maximum of 6 campers.Campers only with self-contained RV’s (including restroom, shower and waste storage tanks) will be permitted. There will be no tent camping permitted. No tents will be permitted in the campground, even on a site with a self-contained unit.
RVs will only be permitted to occupy every other campsite.
Only registered campers will be permitted in the campground – no visitor or day use access will be allowed.All campers must be in compliance with current County of San Diego health orders including mask wearing and social distancing where required.Parking will be limited to inside campsites and every other marked space in the additional parking areas. The trails on the interior of the park are closed. Campers must use the asphalt road when walking or biking around the campground.The lake loop trail will be open to registered campers only from Sentry Point to Eagle Point.
Many campground amenities will be closed. The playground, pavilion, play area and drinking fountains will all be closed.A single ADA restroom in each restroom building and two portable restrooms on Sentry Point will be open only from 7:00 am to 5:00 p.m. daily. They will be sanitized and cleaned every two hours during that time.All restrooms on site will be closed between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. and campers must use the restrooms in their units during that time. All campers are encouraged to use the restrooms in their RV at all times.
Fishing from the campground shoreline between Sentry Point and Eagle Point will be open to registered campers only who have purchased their fishing permits between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. There will be no night fishing or fish stocking at this time.The recreation side of the lake will remain closed. There will be no access to the dock, bait shop, and boat ramp. No boating, walking, or fishing will be allowed on that side of the lake. We really appreciate your understanding in this difficult time while we work hard to keep our community safe.
